Perpetual 80's fashion victim Harry was the man of the house. Harry was fond of calling his friends by their surnames (Lodge, Buchanan, etc) although Neil got his own back by calling him "H". In later years Harry ran a market stall in Maidstone.

Harry could be a little slow to catch on (even TVS executive Anna Home sums him up as "the dim one"). But in many ways, Harry was the bedrock of the show, particularly after Ethel left.
