- In 1985, No. 73 gave out
a fact sheet on 'Type Art', an artistic practice so
skilled that even Neil Buchanan couldn't do it. It
involves arranging characters from an ordinary typewriter
in such a way that, from a distance, their different
densities produce the illusion of an image. It was the
forerunner of the colour photographic versions that are
popular today (but will very soon become incredibly naff,
like those magic eye things before them).
